It was a pleasure to meet with US Congressman Bill Huizenga, who recently led a bipartisan congressional delegation to Nigeria 🇳🇬, engaging with stakeholders in Abuja on December 21st, 2025. We discussed his trip and interactions with key leaders, including Minister of Defence Musa and NSA Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
I was impressed by his focus on governance, stability, and long-term US-Africa cooperation. He stressed that concrete results, rather than words, will be essential in removing Nigeria 
from the list of Countries of Particular Concern.
“The Tinubu-led government must ensure that civilian protection and accountability remain a priority in the broader conversation,” US Rep. Bill Huizenga of Michigan stated.
